The front and centre channel speakers each have four 2.25" woofers and a 3/4" tweeter, while the rear/surround speakers each have dual 2.25" woofers and a 3/4" tweeter. The system also includes the same 10" 100W subwoofer as the YHT-791 system which, along with the satellite speakers, provides a 625W surround sound experience.
The YHT-591 is controlled by a 5-channel A/V receiver which features numerous DTS and Dolby HD digital surround technologies for accurate decoding of surround sound sources. It includes four SCENE buttons making it easier to operate the receiver and utilizes Yamaha's YPAO automatic system calibration to optimize the system based on the room acoustics. The receiver also has Bluetooth and iPod compatibility and includes 4 1080p-compatible HDMI ports with HDMI switching for connection to high-definition devices. The YHT-591 comes with removable cloth grilles and has an MSRP of $649.95.
