Whirlpool WTW5100VQ

$380.00 Released January, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:The machine pretty much figures out the best factors for each load (wash temperature, cycle time and agitation speed) making washing clothes even easier. Affordable price. Water stays warm enough to dissolve detergent but cool enough not to make colours run.

The Cons:Small capacity. It tends to be very loud when changing cycles--especially to the spin cycle making it a bad choice for smaller homes/apartments. Doesn't have a fabric softener dispenser... Something that is pretty common in modern washers.

The Whirlpool WTW5100VQ is the base-line top loading washer made available by Whirlpool. Although this is not Engergy Star certified and lacks many features of upper models, its sub-$400 price makes this is a very affordable washer.

Washing a full load takes quite a while for a modern washer.

Anonymous: #whirlpool_wtw5100vq very noisy washer. disappointed with the way it washes delicates and ladies tops. this is definitely NOT a delicate cycle. Clothes are stretched out and wrinkled. Only thing this washer is good for is towels, sheets, jeans. It is ruining my nice clothing. I will never buy a whirlpool washer again.
Too strong of agitation. Only one speed motor. I am looking at a Speed Queen washer with different speeds. Feb 3, 12
