Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6400SW

$1,000.00 Released January, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Cleans large amounts of laundry at a time. Clothes come out thoroughly cleaned. Generally runs quietly, don't really hear it from another room.

The Cons:If only a few items are in it, spin cycle throws it off balance so far off the machine shuts down. Sheets tend to get into a big tangle, "sheet" setting doesn't seem to have an effect. Hard to reach the bottom of the unit to get the last few items out.

The Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6400SW is a high-end top loading washing maching, which falls in the middle of the Cabrio product line offered by Whirlpool. This washer is Energy Star qualified, and saves up to 44% water and 55% energy compared to conventional top-load washers.

The large 4.6 cu. ft I.E.C. capacity stainless steel wash basket allows you to wash three hampers of laundry in a single load.  Like all washers in the Cabrio line, the direct inject wash system releases a highly concentrated dose of detergent to penetrate stains prior to the wash cycle, which eliminates the need to pre-treat stains before washing. Another feature across the Cabrio line is 6th sense technology, which determines the size of the load being washed and uses the precise amount of water required.  Heat sensors monitor the water temperature and a suds sensor prevents over sudsing in the low water wash system. The WTW6400SW has 13 automatic cycles, including one for bulky items, whitest whites and a Woolmark certified wool cycle. The add a garment indicator lets you know the when it is still safe to add more clothes without affecting the wash cycle, and also features time remaining and cycle status lights. Unlike upper models, the WTW6400SW does not have delay wash. The ultra quiet wash plus noise reduction is Whirlpools quiestest system available, which uses sound absorbing materials in the front, sides and bottom of the washer and a quieter hose design. The matching dryers for this washer are the electric WED6400SW/SB and the gas WGD6400SW/SB.  There is also an optional laudry tower. The WTW6400SW washer comes in a white finish, and dryers come in black or white.
