Panasonic SC-ZT1
$1,029.00
Released May, 2009
The Pros:Outputs enough sound to easily fill a small to mid-sized room. Very easy to setup--just use the remote to tell which speaker is where. Decent overall sound quality despite the weak bass--sound well enough to suit the average user.
The Cons:Very weak bass performance--very much needs a subwoofer to round out the sound. Uses the popular 2.4GHz frequency band--expect a lot of interference. Doesn't adequately simulate the sound of a full surround system.
The Panasonic SC-ZT1 is a fully wireless home theater system that sends uncompressed high-quality audio data over a wireless 2.4GHz frequency band. Cited as a 4.0 surround sound system, the SC-ZT1 comes equipped with four elegant Sound Slim speakers.

Each speaker is in turn outfitted with four ultra-slim pole-type speakers which all work together alongside Dolby TrueHD and DTS to create a lifelike virtual 7.1 surround sound experience. In addition, each Sound Slim speaker also boasts an integrated long-stroke 5” ‘woofer’ built into the speaker stand and designed with a Down-Fire structure to generate low-frequency sound towards the floor, thereby creating the deep bass typical to a thoroughbred subwoofer. By adding along a VIERA Z1 TV and either a DMP-BD80, DMP-BD70V, or a DMP-BD60 blu-ray player, the user can essentially create a complete wireless home theater system whereby images and sound are both transmitted without cable. Slated to drop in Spring 2009, the Panasonic SC-ZT1 currently has no set price, although it will come with a 1 year limited warranty.

Price point is too high for the actual sound quality--you're paying for the wireless gimmick.
