Nubrella

$60.00 Released January, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Hands-free umbrella. Can bike with an umbrella. Great for my park and yard work with drivable leaf- and snowblowers, in raid or to avoid wet snow or leaves on your face.

The Cons:Goofy looking. Can't share the umbrella. Price is completely unreasonable.

The Nubrella is a hands-free umbrella that sits on your shoulders and covers your upper body with a waterproof canopy. The Nubrella basically eliminates the problem of your umbrella turning inside-out and allows you to have 2 hands free while walking, making it easier to talk on the phone or carry things when it's raining.

Excelerating
Excelerating: #nubrella Worst purchase I have made in years. Returned one of two and had to file complaint with my CC company to get refund. Would not return calls, could not get Nubrella to work and was totally disappointed. Have receipt they received product back but from that date have not got them to return a call, email or text. Real bad experience. Sep 10, 10

GT-D: #nubrella Haha, I'd fall somewhere in between...

I think it looks stupid, but I'd probably use it...

I wouldn't use it while biking though as generally when its raining, its at least a bit windy. Even were it not windy, I'd see wearing this as dangerous for biking on city streets. If you're out somewhere with little traffic it would be better. I could totally see this for having to bike across suburbia on an off-route. Feb 28, 08

Amanie: #nubrella Why such a strong reaction? I think it's practical, if you walk (or bike!!) in the rain a lot, who cares how stupid you look. Of course people are going to laugh at you! But you will be dry and hands-free so who's laughing now? Feb 27, 08

Erik: #nubrella OMFG. I feel like we've travelled to the not-so-distant future...A future in which everyone has lost their minds and gone completely insane. A future where looking as stupid as possible is paramount. A future where rain falls incessantly, and traditional umbrellas have failed to deliver the dryness that the future citizens of Rainbrellauglyfashionland desire.

The only thing that would make this more ridiculous is if it had a remote control. Feb 27, 08
