It is designed with a commercial grade drive system and stainless steel basket for long-lasting performance and has QuietSeries 100 sound packaging to ensure quiet operation.  The MVWC500VW comes with 16 wash cycles, 4 temperature settings, and additional features such as an automatic temperature control and a bleach/fabric softener dispenser.  The washer is only available in white and comes with a 1 year warranty.  It is meant to be paired with Maytag's Centennial MEDC500VW electric dryer or MGDC500VW gas dryer.  The only difference between the MVWC500VW and Maytag's MVWC400VW is that the MVWC500VW has a stainless steel wash basket while the basket of the MVWC400VW is porcelain.
