Klipsch Quintet II

$550.00 Released January, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Excellent mid and high frequencies. Clean, modern design. Small footprint.

The Cons:Rolled off bass because of smaller woofers. Essentially, requires a sub-woofer for any bass. Not ideal for listening to music.

The Klipsch Quintet II is a 5-piece home theater system featuring five speakers each enclosed in an elliptical enclosure that reduces the negative effects of internal standing ways. In fact, the cabinets are manufactured from SMC (Stone Mineral Compound), a material popular and widely used for manufacturing professional loudspeakers.

A downgrade from the somewhat expensive Klipsch HD and extra-expensive Klipsch CS models, the Klipsch Quintet II sports four satellite speakers and one center channel piece. The satellites each sport a 3.5” woofer and a .75” Neodymium magnet dome compression driver with a patented Klipsch Tratrix horn. The center channel speaker, however, features dual woofers and one tweeter. In addition, all five speakers are magnetically shielded so that users can place them near a television without causing any picture distortion. The Klipsch Quintet II retails for $599.99 and comes with a 5 year limited warranty.
