Klipsch HD Theater 300
$400.00
Released April, 2009
The Pros:Tuned to allow dialog to sound crystal clear, even at low volumes. Bass is tight and clear, not too boomy or thumping. Speaker wall mounts are easy to work with and install.
The Cons:Wall mounts can be adjusted sideways, but not up and down. Not able to handle high power output, can be blown fairly easily.
The Klipsch HD Theater 300 is a compact, high-definition, and 5.1-channel home theater system being offered at an affordable price. The third of three Klipsch HD theater systems, the Klipsch HD Theater 300 is a downgrade from the Klipsch HD Theater 500 in that it trades in its predecessor’s 8” woofer for a 6.5” woofer instead.

In all other ways, however, the Theater 300 is practically a duplicate of its peer. For instance, the Theater 300 sports four speakers that are each outfitted with one 2.5” IMG driver and one MicroTrantrix horn-loaded .75” aluminum dome tweeter. In addition, the Theater 300’s center speaker sports dual 2.5” IMG drivers. Like its predecessor, the Theater 300’s horn-loaded tweeter technology delivers genuine “lifelike sound” and produces more output per less energy. It should also be noted that the Theater 300 can either be wired into a PC set-up or act as an entry level TV entertainment system. However, the Theater 300 does not come with a receiver. The Klipsch HD Theater 300 retails for a more affordable $399.99 (versus $599.99) and comes with a 5 year limited warranty.
