Released February, 2009
The Pros:5-year warranty. Can be used in different applications - as a home theater with TV or with a PC.
The Cons:Expensive for what it is. Very small satellite speakers - 2.5" woofers.
The Klipsch HD Theater 1000 is a compact, high-definition, and 5.1-channel home theater system being offered at an affordable price. The first of three Klipsch HD theater systems, the Klipsch HD Theater 1000 is outfitted with five identical speakers that each feature dual 2.5” fiber composite woofers and a MicroTractrix horn-loaded .75” aluminum dome tweeter.

In fact, the horn-loaded tweeter technology is cited as being the defining factor for the Theater 1000 due to its ability to deliver genuine “lifelike sound” and produce more output per less energy. In addition, the Theater 1000 boasts an active subwoofer with a 10” fiber composite woofer and a hybrid class D amplifier. It should also be noted that the Theater 1000 can either be wired into a PC set-up or act as an entry level TV entertainment system. However, the Theater 1000 does not come with a receiver. The Klipsch HD Theater 1000 retails for $899.99 and comes with a 5 year limited warranty.
