Product Shot 2 The DVD-9 discs, also know as dual and double layer discs, can hold 7779 megabytes of data. The DVD-5 discs can hold 4464 megabytes of data. Therfore, when copying a commercial DVD the data needs to be shrunk, hence the title of the software.

DVD Shrink will save the output files to your hard drive, as either .vob's or as an image. If you have Nero or CopytoDVD installed on your computer, it will take advantage of that to burn the output files to a disc.

DVD Shrink also uses optional deep analyses and high-quality adaptive compensation to ensure that the output files are of the same or near quality as the original. It also decrypts the DVD and you can select which region of DVD you would like it to be burned as, or you can choose region free, in order for the disc to be played in any DVD player, in any country. You can also choose to copy only the main title(s) of the disc, and leave out the main menu and extras, in order to save space and time.
