Retailing at $70, the MIC200 has a good balance of high quality componentry and flexibility; it features +48 V phantom power, a phase reverse switch and 20 dB pad. There is a toggle for a dedicated low-cut filter for removing unwanted floor noise. There is an 8-segment LED level meter on the front face of the unit to accurately trim your input levels.

Hook up your MIC200 with the Behringer UCA202 U-Control digital recording interface and you have a fairly inexpensive home recording solution.
