The Pros:This was very fun to watch the ants tunnel.
The Cons:Ants could get out of the breathing holes and are not particularly easy to catch and get into it.
Humans aren't quite ready to live in space-age environments but our friends at NASA created something that ants can live and survive in. The habitat consists of a non-toxic gel that is used both for food and water.

The gel also provides a tunneling medium so you can watch the ants burrow and build for hours. The LED light at the base provides a nice bluish glow, making you feel like you're a little closer to the heavens.

#antworks We've had an AntWorks in our office for just over a year now. All but one of the ants died 1 or 2 months ago. Last week we had a birthday party for the last remaining ant and let him crawl around on the cake. This is a great product - I highly recommend it! I also highly recommend InnovaToys.com where I purchased my AntWorks and will continue to purchase gifts.

#antworks I'm hoping to get one of these for christmas. Hey, does anyone know the average life-span of the ants? I read some review that said they only live for three months.

#antworks OMG, that is like my worst nightmare. I could never have an ant farm for the reason you just said.

#antworks My last ant farm spilled on the floor and set the ants loose in my room. For some reason they liked hanging out in the sheets on myy bed. At least they were tiny and dont bite. This is cool though, accenting the coolest feature of an ant farm (the ants tunnels).

#antworks Better yet, Ant farm,
get one and put different color sand in it, get it ?, this way you can see what the ants do with the sand, which color is moved from point a-b-c etc.

#antworks This is awesome. I've never had an ant farm, but I would definitely like one. Especially since this one is 3D. (My love of the intelligence of ants came from
GEB).
